On March 13, 2025, ICropS, in collaboration with UPLB Security and Safety Office and UPLB Agricultural Systems Institute, participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held at N.B. Mendiola Hall.
The event aimed to educate and equip staff and students with essential skills for emergency preparedness and handling natural disasters such as earthquakes.
The first half of the activity focused on the initial response during an earthquake, emphasizing the ‘Duck, Cover, and Hold’ technique followed by an organized evacuation. The second half involved a practical application of these procedures, where faculty members, students, and personnel actively participated in the drill.
